| Well...if each intake port opening as you said is 1.385 inches in diameter, then... (3.14)(0.6925in)(0.6925)= Area of 1.505 inches squared per intake valve We have 12 intake valves on our cars so that would mean the plenum would need to total a cross section area of 18.0696 inches squared..or 3.01 square inches per intake runner. So technically, that means you need about 9.03 square inches for each side of the plenum which is how much needs to go through the intake pipe and is what the cross section area of the intake pipes should be to keep up...atleast as far as math goes. That means our intake pipes should be about 1.695x2 or 3.39 inches in diameter (not 8 inches) to keep up as far as the math goes. I'm sure there are a million other things to consider though, but this is the math part atleast. I'm not a math major, but a science major, so someone might want to double check my math. I did it all with my cell phone after all lol.
